LuppetX Free Release Following Company Dissolution

Recently, we plan to dissolve the operating company, Luppet Technologies Inc.
To ensure that everyone can continue to use LuppetX with peace of mind, we have decided to implement an offline processing update and provide it free of charge.
　
We thank the many VTubers who have used and supported Luppet, from the original release through LuppetX.

The schedule and FAQs about the free release are provided below. Current LuppetX users should review the details.

August 23, 2026: Free Version Release

  • We are starting to offer the offline-processed version of LuppetX (Ver. 1.1.0) for free.
  • This version does not require account registration or a license purchase.
  • It provides the same functionality as the previous version of LuppetX.

October 4, 2026: Support Ends and Mandatory Update

  • Support for LuppetX will end. We will no longer be able to respond to inquiries after this date.
  • A mandatory update to ver. 1.1.0 will also be issued on the same day.

We plan to shut down the servers approximately one month after the mandatory update. Versions 1.0.9p and earlier will no longer work once the servers are shut down. If you cannot receive the mandatory update, download the installer directly from BOOTH.

Who can use ver. 1.1.0? Is commercial use allowed?

Ver. 1.1.0 is free for individuals and businesses, with no usage restrictions. Commercial use is also permitted.
No account registration or license purchase is required.

Does ver. 1.1.0 have any feature limitations?

No. Ver. 1.1.0 provides the same functionality as ver. 1.0.9p.

Can I continue using ver. 1.1.0 after support ends?

Yes.

The free release is intended to keep LuppetX available after the company is dissolved. However, no bug fixes or updates for future system changes will be provided after support ends.

Why do I need to update to ver. 1.1.0?

Versions 1.0.9p and earlier use our servers for login and license verification.

Please update to ver. 1.1.0, which does not require a server connection, so you can continue using LuppetX after the servers are shut down.
If you cannot receive the automatic update, download the installer from BOOTH.

Are refunds available for licenses already purchased?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for licenses already purchased.

The license was granted and LuppetX was made available for use at the time of purchase. The free release does not cancel previous purchase agreements.

We sincerely thank everyone who has purchased and used LuppetX and supported our service. Existing customers can also use the free version (ver. 1.1.0) without registering an account or purchasing another license.
